I'm rating this later a second attempt. The start time I followed the recipe to a T and thought it was bland, but a great starter recipe (iii ***'s so). I've since made information technology with the post-obit substitutions. While cooking veggies and meat I added table salt, pepper, minced garlic. When adding the goop I also added 3 tbspn of carmine wine. Instead of using one/2 cup sour cream, I used one/4 cup depression fat sour foam and 1/4 cup cream of mushroom. FANTASTIC!!!!!

This was very practiced. I followed the directions precisely, and it turned out merely perfect. There was a squeamish balance between the flavours of all of the components, and expecially some sugariness from the onions, and smashing mushroom flavours. The Stroganoff was creamy, and actually flavoured each and every noodle. I made enough for iv portions, and then that I can consume more at a later date, and I am glad I did. This is the best tradtional stroganoff I have had to appointment. Add 1 clove minced garlic to mushroom/onion mixture for enhanced flavours. Thanks Coleen!

Keen recipe! Very flavorful and very piece of cake to brand. I substituted olive oil for butter, beef consomme for beef broth and added 1 tbsp of minced garlic to the onions and mushrooms. Delicious!
09/xx/2006
Delicious for how easy information technology is! Fabricated a few changes. Added 1 tsp minced garlic to the onion and mushrooms; used sliced sirloin steak instead of ground beef and added i tsp dijon mustard to the beefiness burgoo. Made the dish a little more than flavorful and less Hamburger Helper-like.

I was looking for a recipe similar to the Rice-A-Roni stroganoff that was recently discontinued. With a few modifications, this recipe fit the bill. I sauted the onion and hamburger together, adding a couple cloves of minced garlic, leaving out the butter. Only as the hamburger started to brown, I added a can of sliced mushrooms and continued to cook. Once the hamburger was brown, I deglazed the pan with some dry sherry, and so, instead of adding flour, I added the beef broth, brought information technology to a boil and added 1 cup of minute rice and one-half the sour foam. Brought it upwardly to just boiling, covered, reduced heat and simmered x-fifteen minutes until the rice was done and it started to thicken. Right toward the end, I added the rest of the sour foam. My married man loved information technology. It will definitely be made over again.

Practiced starter recipe. Started out a bit bland but was VERY adept later some tweaking. I followed other reviewers' suggestions and added Worchestershire sauce, garlic and pepper. I also added onion common salt, plus boosted salt. Nevertheless needed a footling kicking and so I added paprika.
01/06/2006
Pretty darn tasty! I took all the tips. 2 Tbsp worcsh, paprika, garlic salt yada yada. Worked out perfect.

I didn't intendance for this recipe. Kickoff, it doesn't land it and I know most cooks do it automatically only DRAIN THE Fatty from the ground beef. It should even so exist in the instructions because sometimes yous want to go on it and sometimes you don't. This is a don't time. It can come out greasy and soupy if you don't. I as well recommend non cooking the noodles split up. One time you've completed the sauce merely earlier the sour cream is added, through the noodles into the dish and let them absorb the sauce. The noodles come out bland if you don't. Season very well. I added a fair corporeality of salt and pepper and still found it banal.
01/31/2011
great starter recipe. changes i made: 1. add mushrooms when onions are partially cooked. 2. add 3 T red wine & 3 cloves minced garlic while onion/mushroom mixture is cooking. 3. dark-brown onion in only 1 T butter. iv. use low-cal sour cream, of grade. 5. add 3 more T red vino to sauce. 6. permit sauce simmer for 15 minutes to let flavors to blend. fabulous.
02/15/2006
This was yummy with my own additions. ii garlic cloves, double mushrooms and soy sauce. For the gravy I mixed powdered beef goop, brown gravy mix and the liquid from the mushroom cans along with more water.
04/06/2009
This was really good. I read some other reviewers' comments and included some garlic at the end of sauteeing the mushrooms and onions, and besides added some worcestershire sauce while cooking the footing beef. I eyeballed the flour and beef broth amounts, and added more of both equally I felt was needed. I used low fat obviously yogurt instead of sour cream. The sauce had a nice, thick consistency and was actually yummy.
12/24/2005
This was a proficient/piece of cake recipe for beef stroganoff...just we did brand some minor changes. Following the suggestions of some other reviewers, we did add about 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce and substituted 1/2 of the sour cream for Aureate Mushroom soup; information technology's probably also worth noting that we cut this recipe in half, and it turned out just fine. DH did enjoy the flavor more than I did...I felt it withal lacked something, but I'm non sure what.

This is one of our stand by, go to meals. I made the following changes. i. Put salted water on to eddy. (should be every bit salty as the ocean). two. Piece fresh mushrooms, dice one/two medium onion, mince a clove or so of fresh garlic. 3. Drop the noodles in the water just after starting the meat. four. Place meat in skillet. As the meat just starts to brownish and juices begin, add together the onion. Add the garlic a little later. (You're cooking the onion in the beefiness fat rather than butter. 5. After the meat is cooked, drain off all but a tablespoon of grease. half dozen. Return pan with meat to burner. Sprinkle the ground meat with 3 to 4 tablespoons of flour and cook for a minute or ii (the culinary term is vocalist and it allows the grease (fat) to glaze the flour and cooks the flour. 7. Add 1 cup of beef stock/broth and stir. Add more equally necessary to form a nice smoother sauce. 8. Add together mushrooms and simmer. The sauces will thicken as it cooks. nine. Continue to simmer until mushroom are washed. x. Simply prior to service; have information technology off the heat and stir in the room temperature sour cream. One pan, quick, fast, and in hurry. If it is also dry out or bland try irresolute the beefiness or beefiness stock/broth The key is the beef stock/goop. Scratch made is the best; however I do quite well with beef base or Bouillon. Lately I've used "Better Than Burgoo" past Superior Touch. Another key is the ground beefiness. I discover the 80/20 good. The 90/10 seems to be too dry.

EXCELLENT!! I followed the advice of other people who rated this recipe and added some chopped garlic (2 cloves) & cherry wine (1/2 loving cup)to chocolate-brown the beef...along with the butter & later the flour etc. A little salt & pepper with merely one cup (8 oz) of sour cream added near the end just turned out to be awesome. I also used blackness angus london broil beef; cutting very sparse beyond the grain; that was cooked on a gas grill several weeks before (that I commonly save & freeze for steak fajitas) instead of the ground beef. The beef added a prissy slight smoky flavour to the sauce which was served over lightly buttered egg noodles. A huge hit with my friends who easily compared information technology with like dishes at iv-star french restaurants. A VERY VERY good base recipe for beef stroganof. Highly recommended!!!

This was very good, only I used many of the previous reviewers' tips and a few of my own. I added minced garlic to the mushrooms and onions- we dearest garlic and I think this would have been a bit bland without information technology. I did not cook my hamburger in butter - who needs the actress fat? I found that the i cup of sour cream was not enough, so I added a tin of condensed cream of mushroom soup and a few dashes of worchestershire and dijon mustard. My fellow LOVED this. My one tip to boyfriend cooks - use a VERY big skillet. By the time y'all become two pounds of beef, cups broth, and all the other ingredients in the pan - in that location's barely any room to stir. And stirring is definitely necessary to blend the ingredients well. Also, I used a 16 oz package of egg noodles and establish it to be too many noodles. Definitely pay attention and just use 12 oz. Particularly if you're like me and similar the noodles mixed in with the beef sauce.

This recipe is a skilful starter, but needs a few tweaks to bring it from "dull" to something special. I saute chopped onions with a clove of minced garlic in Canola oil until almost washed, add together fresh sliced mushrooms and continue cooking for a minute or so. Remove from pan. In same pan, fry thinly sliced round or sirloin steak which has been seasoned with pepper and table salt (optional). When done, add flour, 1 T. Worcestershire sauce, ane T. lemon juice, the beefiness goop or bouillon, and one bay leaf. Stir until polish and add the mushrooms/onion mixture. When heated through, add sour cream. Stir until combined, remove from heat and serve on top of the cooked and drained egg noodles.

This is one of my kids' favourite dishes and it is then easy that they can help make it too. Information technology is a go-to for busy weeknights. I e'er utilise lots of mushrooms, olive oil, lean ground beefiness, and low-fatty sour cream. A few times I used whole-wheat flour and that worked fine too.
01/04/2011
Very adept and piece of cake! We fabricated this twice already, once with thinly sliced sirloin steak and the second time with footing beefiness. Both times turned out well but kids similar it more than with sliced sirloin steak. Would have rated this 5 stars, except we made some changes per the recommendations of others. We replaced one/2 c sour cream with foam of mushroom soup, added worcestershire sauce and garlic, and omitted the flour equally the sauce was thick plenty.

I rarely take the time to write a review or rate some of the recipes on here, which I should practise more than because I appreciate when people rate and review mine. I made this recipe every bit is and I institute it to be very flavorful. I did add Worchestershire sauce which added that little "extra" that information technology needed. I likewise used low sodium beef broth and so that I was in control of the sodium content. I do not concur with the amount of butter used in this recipe and would most certainly not utilize that much again. That's the reason it but gets the four stars instead of five. The ease of this recipe is great. I know there are many, many means to brand a practiced stroganoff, but this one is a keeper for me and my family when a quick, simply succulent meal is needed on a decorated weeknight. Thank you for sharing this recipe. I will admittedly make this stroganoff again!!!
09/03/2013
I take been making a like recipe to this for years with one VERY importantant twist. Get ahead and cook your pasta equally usual. I brown the ground beefiness and when nigh half done I add together the chopped onion. Sautee all until done. Drain the excess fat from the browned beef. Add your fresh chopped garlic and sautee merely a couple of minutes being conscientious not to burn down the garlic. This is where I make my hush-hush twist to this recipe. I have found that when you use flour to thicken the consistency of your sauce and add together beef stock or beefiness bullion, there is an easier and much more delicious twist. I mix three-four talespoon of Brown Gravy mix in near a cup of water and dissolve very well. Add the brownish Gravy mix and it thickens the sauce and gives information technology the Flavor Heave needed to keep this recipe from tasting then bland. Add the mushroms and go along to simmer until it thickens. I then add the sourcream before serving and stir slightly and so you tin can come across the sour cream and brown gravy slightly mixed together. Now that's Gooood!!!
09/xvi/2012
We really liked it. I felt that the sauce need a bit actress beef flavor, and then I added some beefiness base and and then information technology was perfect. Easy and tasty. Will make again.
09/18/2008
actually good. I used stew beefiness instead of ground beef.
01/28/2015
Hubby loved information technology...that's all that matters. Next time I volition add together salt as I melt the meat and perhaps add garlic for flavor. Otherwise, this is a not bad recipe! From starting time of chopping onions to the tabular array...35 minutes! Give thanks you!
02/23/2012
This is a fantastic dish! I did however make slight changes: For my beef broth I just added about 3 cups of water to my hamburger while cooking with some garlic powder, salt, pepper, and dried parsley and tuckered it and set information technology aside. I also used a 16 ounce container of sour cream rather than simply a loving cup. I like to sprinkle a little more garlic powder, salt, and pepper in the end. Wonderful dish! Thank you lot!
10/05/2012
Like shooting fish in a barrel and tasty. I did add fresh garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and doubled the mushrooms. My married man liked this.
02/xiv/2011
Awesome and piece of cake! Thanx for the recipe.
07/31/2012
Sooooo skilful! My family loved it! Super like shooting fish in a barrel and quick to make and tastes significantly better so the boxed stuff. This will be one I use for years to come.
10/03/2010
I fabricated this recipe the other nighttime, although I made information technology a little different and it came out Slap-up! I don't like beef stroganoff at all, never accept, simply this was really really good! I used 1 med. onion, 1lb of ground beef. 2 tbsp of flour, ane/2 C sour foam, one 1/2 C of beefiness broth and 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce along with all the other ingredients this recipe chosen for. The Worcestershire sauce gives it a really good flavor.

Really proficient - everyone cleaned their plates. Used beef stew meat instead of hamburger, and cooked this in the crock pot. Outset I coated the beef with flour and browned in batches with a niggling olive oil. In one case all the beef was browned, I added a mixture of one-half shallots and one-half white onion (didn't have enough of either by themselves) and pre-sliced babe Bella mushrooms to the skillet and lightly browned them. Added mushroom/onion mixture and beefiness to the crockpot, deglazed the skillet with some of the beef broth, and then added all the broth to the crockpot. I besides added some thyme leaves, every bit I like the flavour they add. When I got home, I mixed near a tablespoon of flour with the sour foam, and then mixed the sour cream in the crockpot to end. Served over kluski egg noodles. Great and super easy dinner to come home to.
01/24/2008
I didn't really follow the recipe merely I took some other reviwers advice instead and cooked an onion in canola oil, and so browned i lb. of actress lean ground beefiness, added 1 tin can of consomme soup, then 1 cup of sour foam and iv tbsp. of flour to the mixture and simmered until thick. I served this over egg noodles, and information technology was very yummy! thanks for the thought!
10/05/2000
I really liked this dish. This volition be a regular at my house. In the futurity, though, I'll drain the mushrooms and onions after sauteeing them. Adding them dorsum in with their juices caused the thickening broth to become way too thin. (Oh ... I did add a splash of sherry with the goop. I couldn't resist!)
09/29/2001
The second time I made this recipe, I added one/iii c. white wine when adding the beef broth. Information technology took a few minutes longer to cook, but the result was amazing!
09/26/2014
The simply things I changed is that I don't utilize butter and I added one/iv cup of carmine wine. This time I had 93/7 fat ground beef. This is my go to meal for quick, succulent meal that makes me await adept!
08/14/2003
I actually idea this was like shooting fish in a barrel to make. The only fourth dimension I take always eaten stroganoff was when I bought the boxed version. I actually liked this and since my married man was tardily for dinner, it was an easy recipe to hold up for a while. I did read the reviews earlier making and took some others ideas past adding some garlic to the meat while browning and a trivial bit of white wine to the sauce. It really tasted very good. I think next fourth dimension I will effort it as information technology stands and see what the event is. Cheers for posting.
02/16/2003
Excellent, like shooting fish in a barrel dinner. I added two cloves chopped garlic while browning the beefiness.
01/26/2011
Exactly what I was looking for. Tasted neat! the but thing I did different was that I added well-nigh 4 cloves of garlic to the mushroom/onion when sauteing. This tin easily be modified to exist a bit more centre healthy by using ground turkey, omitting the butter and just using a tablespoon of healthy oil to cook the mushroom/onion/garlic and using a light sour cream. YUM!!!
05/22/2012
This was slap-up! Followed to a T with the exception of calculation table salt and pepper co-ordinate to my ain taste and likewise adding swiss cheese to the sauce. Delicious!
11/29/2005
This was enjoyable, however I wish I had read the reviews before I attempted this. I made the mistake of using low fat sour cream and it was much likewise watery and not rich plenty. Live for today and employ total fat sour cream!! I will try this again though, it was very nice and heated up very well the next twenty-four hours. :) Cheers for the recipe Colleen!
02/18/2006
Non bad. I thought it was a trivial on the bland side, but not bad.
03/ten/2011
Very easy and quick, gustatory modality is skillful simply if you add some extra spices is even amend. My husband and teenagers liked it.
10/13/2002
This recipe was super easy to brand and super delicious. In the past, I'd only used sliced beef steaks in my Stroganoff. Merely, later trying this recipe, I'll definitely switch! It's a fleck more tasty and a lot less expensive to make. My married man is non a stroganoff fan. But, after fooling him one night past telling him that information technology was Hamburger Helper, he now requests it -- very often! The only modification that I made was to add together a bit more beef broth, to requite it a piffling more flavor.
03/sixteen/2010
This was good and easy and fabricated dandy luncheon for the side by side day. My husband made information technology we inverse the servings to four and added 1 TBS. Worschestire sauce, two cloves of garlic and 1/ii c. of red vino. Will definately brand it once again.
08/07/2011
My married man loves Beefiness Stroganoff. It'south not good for you by any means, just you tin can probably utilise depression fat cream cheese and whole wheat noodles to cutting down on the calories and fatty.
12/08/2012
SUPER piece of cake! Great beginners recipe for learning beef stroganoff. I always play effectually with my recipes likewise and this 1 is pretty forgiving.
03/01/2011
Excellent. Based on reviews, I sauted a sliced onion and 8 oz. of sliced mushrooms in salt, pepper, garlic powder & 1 tablespoon of olive oil and removed from pan. In the aforementioned pan, I and then brown 2 pounds of ground turkey seasoned with salt, pepper and arlic powder and add i can of beef broth. In a separate bowl, I mix 1 cup of fatty complimentary sour cream with 3 tablespoons of flour with table salt and pepper to taste, then add together to the meat mixture and let simmer until flavors accept blended.
xi/16/2014
Easy and expert
01/xi/2011
Yummy! Followed the recipe, only added fresh garlic when cooking the mushrooms and onion. My whole family liked this - peculiarly my 2 yr old!
12/29/2010
Like shooting fish in a barrel and cheap. I added a nuance of worchestershire, minced garlic, blackness pepper, and a little red vino to round out the flavor.
06/sixteen/2006
Excellent! I fabricated a few substitutions because of my bare pantry (one cup h2o w/beefiness bullion instead of canned beefiness goop, onion pulverization instead of onions) and fabricated some changes due to gustatory modality (added 2 tsp. minced garlic to saute pan, used 1/2 of sour cream, added 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce & added one cup cream of mushroom soup), but it was AWESOME and my family loved information technology. Will try again the "correct" way! Thanks for the great recipe.
11/22/2002
this was a very easy meal to fix. i added green peppers to my mushrooms and onions. i used lowfat sour foam and it didn't change it one bit. i also added a niggling garlic pulverisation and black pepper for a stronger taste. Bully!!!!!
08/04/2004
Excellent with the following modifications. Offset, I sauted onions in cooking spray, not butter. So browned beef with no butter. In improver to beef broth, I added 3/iv cup dry ruby wine and a few dashes of worcestershire sauce and a tbsp of cornstarch. I and then had to boil for near 15 minutes to thicken. (I skipped the mushrooms). Finally, I added the onions and sour cream and served over hot buttered egg noodles - delicious and flavorful. Will make once again - thanks!
01/17/2012
A quick recipe for a good family meal, I added some garlic to the mushrooms and onion while they were cooking, definitely a recipe I will make again. More than enough left over for lunch the next day!
01/21/2007
This recipe definitely deserves 5 stars! Like shooting fish in a barrel to brand, fast and delicious... It volition go a staple at my firm. I had never made stroganoff before because I'm not addicted of beef merely with ground meat, it'due south a different story! Thanks for posting!
01/02/2012
The meal was great, like shooting fish in a barrel, and quick. I made a few changes considering I didn't have mushrooms. I added 1/ii cup of mushroom soup and strained the rest to put the mushrooms in the meal. I as well added mustard seed seasoning and combined my noodles and stroganoff mixture before serving.
03/07/2012
Good flavor. I used half footing beef and half sausage. I didn't add as much sour foam and left out the mushrooms altogether. Will brand this once more for sure! Very easy!
05/26/2010
I similar using Campbell's condensed double strength beef broth or 1 can each of Campbell's beef goop and Campbell's french onion in this recipe to give information technology an extra umph in flavor. Cracking over egg noodles, best over garlic mashed potatoes. This is And so good.
09/26/2014
Actually tasty! I added some minced garlic, though, and some garlic table salt and freshly basis black pepper while the meat was cooking. Very like shooting fish in a barrel, and very delicious! It was even tastier reheated the next day.
11/11/2009
My boyfriend actually loves stroganoff, and this recipe was perfect. Topped with a picayune sour cream, information technology was smashing. I almost always add together extra pepper to things like this, so I remember that was the only matter I kinda changed. Great recipe!
03/24/2006
v stars with changes! Used footing turkey & worceshire sauce to flavor it. As well added 2 cloves of garlic to the mushrooms, used RED onion, and added ane beef bullion cube.
08/xiii/2007
This was absolutely wonderful. Being unmarried, I usually brand big meals on Sunday evening so that I'll accept something for the rest of the week for left-overs. This is even better the second day. I didn't really brand any changes except for calculation garlic to the mix. I just added the basis beef to the onion/mushroom/garlic mixture instead of removing. I mixed the flour in with the broth which did brand it easier to mix. Also, just to cut out a step and extra dishes, I doubled the broth and only added the uncooked noodles to the whole mix, covered and let simmer for about a half hr. Will definitely make again.
11/eighteen/2009
As a jumping off point this recipe is bang-up. It is quick and piece of cake and kid friendly. My family loves mushrooms so I was able to add more of the things that we dearest. Likewise I bumped up the flavor with some crushed garlic and a lilliputian red pepper flake. It completed the flavor to perfection. My family unit loved information technology and I will get in over again and again.
07/09/2013
Followed the directions except I added cream of mushroom soup and 1 ane/two cups of beef goop. Family unit LOVED it. All of them. That is a rarity in our house. Thanks!
06/xix/2011
Very practiced. I had some left over trip tip so I only made the sauce and served information technology over the meat along with steamed white rice (my husband likes this kind of dish amend with rice than with noodles.)
09/12/2012
I've been using this exact recipe for years. I honey it. Only I noticed by reading some of the reviews that some people have problem witht the sour foam breaking/seperating. You should take the pan off the heat before adding in the sour foam. Don't permit it eddy after adding it. Ane loving cup of sour cream at room temp. won't cool the dish downward much at all. I accept the sour foam out when I beginning dicing the onions and mushrooms.
02/22/2010
very skilful recipe. Modified information technology but slightly by using strips of round steak that I had left over. And used just a bit of foam of mushroom along with the sour cream. Makes it quite tasty. Will do this one again.
04/04/2011
i gotta say i didn't think this was amazing...only my family unit did, go figure. used chicken broth (bullion) instead of beef broth. added a couple cloves minced garlic to sauteing onions.
07/thirteen/2011
Information technology was good except information technology called for too much onion. I had even reduced the onion to half a modest onion and information technology was to overpowering of a taste. Added garlic powder and lawry's seasoning while cooking the meat. Maybe would suggest a red onion or a sugariness vidalia onion for a sweeter season.
xi/03/2009
Thanks to reviewer "awesome in tummy." I took the suggestion of thinly slicing sirloin into strips instead of the ground beef. A bit more time consuming only very much worth the extra effort! My husband absolutely loved this recipe and so did I. Read the suggestions by "awesome in tummy" and follow for a swell dish.
01/14/2007
always comes out great! a fast and easy repast to brand when you're presssured for time! the family unit loves information technology! and heats upward smashing the side by side day!
04/21/2008
I added Worcestershire sauce as well equally French cut light-green beans. I skipped the chopped onion and fresh mushrooms and in place of them, used dried onions and canned mushrooms as I was defective the extra fourth dimension needed for the fresh ingredients. It all turned out well and my family unit enjoyed it.
02/xiv/2011
it was ok but information technology seemed a bit dri
10/12/2014
I did non intendance for this.
09/13/2011
I've made this several times. Information technology has great flavor and is and so easy to brand.
12/12/2011
I used 1lb beef...2 lb would have been overkill. Skipped mushrooms and oil, and flavour was good. Fifty-fifty my two-and-a-half twelvemonth old ate it!
08/10/2002
My family ate this upward, kids and adults. Corking recipe. 1 thing worth noting: I used lowfat sour cream and it did detract from the flavor. Side by side time I will just go full fatty.
09/26/2014
Neat quick supper. Lends itself to ingredients on mitt!
eleven/13/2010
I love Beef Stroganoff, merely this recipe is lacking a petty zing. I use strips of beef, ii-3 cloves of garlic, Westward-sauce, and my undercover ingredient: Dijon mustard. Def kicked information technology into high gear.
04/twenty/2008
This recipe was great. The side by side 24-hour interval I added a tin of tomato soup (with milk) to the leftovers and nosotros had soup. Effort it. It'due south really good.
03/29/2006
This was good but I'd much rather make this with steak cut into strips.I used lean hamburger and even later draining the grease off I yet found it too greasy. If your going to endeavor this recipe use extra lean hamburger but for the price of it you might every bit well get with 1 and a one-half lbs. of steak.
09/03/2013
While the recipe lends itself to a tasty and simple entree, the accompanying moving-picture show is actually a turn off. The beefiness looks completely raw and the sauce has a red tint instead of the prissy brown beef and gravy that the recipe creates. Please replace this picture with something more than representative.
03/14/2011
We halved the recipe and used ground turkey in place of the ground beef. Did not use any butter. Used reduced fat sour cream. Side by side fourth dimension, will add together some garlic. Served with salad and "whole wheat beer breadstuff" from this site.
05/07/2011
This actually turned out pretty good, but I did make a few changes. Showtime of all, I cutting the recipe in one-half because it was simply for 2 of us. I used ground turkey, reduced fatty sour cream and chicken stock because that is what I had. I also added diced bell peppers and some paprika. I felt it needed more sour cream because it was still a little thin, so I added in about another 1/4 cup. I volition definitely make this once more because it was yummy, like shooting fish in a barrel, cheap and very filling!
06/27/2010
This was such an easy recipe! My teenagers and husband really enjoyed it!!
02/25/2007
As is, this is ok. I left the sliced mushrooms out due to preference and subbed a can of cream of mushroom. To brand information technology healthier, I use olive oil instead of butter. Sauteed some chopped garlic (1/2 - one T?) with the onions, and drained information technology the beef & onions before calculation the sauce. I only use about two T of flour to residual the gustation, and add together nearly a quater of a cup milk to make it saucier. Very like shooting fish in a barrel and quick! My Ingredients: 1 tin can cream of mushroom soup, i onion, two-4 T olive oil, 2 lbs beefiness, 2 T flour, one/two c sour cream, 1/4 c milk
03/07/2006
I have been making this for years now, with the add-on of a sprinkling of chopped parsley on pinnacle as a garnish. The family loves it, and has christened it Sorta Stroganoff
05/04/2005
I am i to follow a recipe and then add a few of my own touches. Well I was in a hurry and did'nt bother to add annihilation extra and that was a mistake. This recipe was and then banal it was hardly touched. I will not make this over again, it was terrible.
05/xiii/2012
Very quick and unproblematic, just defective on sense of taste. It tasted like something was missing.
06/08/2010
this was kinda banal... I volition stick to my regular beef stroganoff recipe.
04/26/2011

Liked this recipe because it was quick and like shooting fish in a barrel. Need to add together some extra seasonings to make it taste like true beefiness stroganoff. Was a bit banal with only salt and pepper. Added onion salt, and garlic salt besides as the salt and pepper. For low sodium diets onion and garlic powders can exist substituted. Also helps to mince some fresh garlic and cook with onion and mushrooms at get-go of recipe. Very Yummy!

I fabricated this dish for dinner last night and was delicious. The just changes I made were using beef stew meat instead of ground beefiness and adding a few tablespoons of crimson vino into the meat and sauce mixture. Thanks for such an easy recipe. I'll definately be making this again.

This is a great Stroganoff -no fuss no mess. Since there are simply two of us at abode, I used ane pound of beefiness, 3 Tbs of flour, 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce and 1 cup of fatty complimentary sour cream and the stroganoff however came out terrific. Since I didn't have egg noodles in my pantry, I used fusili (or rotini) and my husband actually liked them better. Past the style, the left over sauce freezes very well. Thaw to room temperature then rut and serve. Keen make alee dinner.
